As a part of Ocean Week Canada's campaign and Canadian Geographic's Education Resources, the 'Oceans, Freshwater and Us' Giant Floor Map aims to help students have a better understanding of Canadian waterways and the effect is has on all Canadian communities. This map is accompanied by engaging learning activities and an interactive augmented reality (AR) component.
Working closely with Canadian Geographic'c cartographer, I developed the graphics that would be integrated inthe map. This project was also in collaboration with Ocean Week Canada, so it was essential that I reflect their branding in the design elements.


I developed five educational activities to accompany the GFM, using content provided by the education department and its partners. Each activity had a distinct look that still worked cohesvely as a toolkit. As the target audience is for young students, it was essential to design the information in a way that would be clear but visually engaging as well.
